Departing For India

Welcome to my blog! The content of this blog will focus on my fieldwork on the changing status of the Parai frame drum of the Paraiyar untouchables in Tamil Nadu India. I leave in 3 days and have almost finished packing ALL of my equipment, clothes, meds. etc.  This will be a nine month process, so I hope that you will come along with me and enjoy the ride.
